Since 2015, I've had a passion for creating brilliant websites. Starting with the bare basics of HTML, CSS and a handful of other web development languages, i quickly began to see the value of website development, and wanted to cash in on the market.
It's been over 6 years since beginning, and the passion i have has not dimmed down. After completing a 2 year software development course, I began to study Software Engineering at Cardiff University, while running a small business on the side with a select client basis.
Whilst in college learning software development, i covered a range of topics introducing me to many languages and methodologies including website development, object orientated programming, mobile application development & more.
During the 2 years of University i have learnt a range of practical skills, expanding my skill set to being fluent in a range of languages/frameworks including:
This practical knowledge has left me comfortable in all aspects of project development, front or back end - not to mention the Agile methodologies I have learnt, which I am an advocate of following.
Running a business along side my studies has given me some real life insights that cannot be learnt in university. Having the responsibility of my business to myself, gave me a chance to expand my ability consulting clients, managing projects, leading others, organizing myself and delivering software that represents a business.
Both of these sides of my education have been invaluable to understanding both the business, and software side of Software Engineering.
